My name is Simone Marthaler and I live in the beautiful Spreewald.
How did I encounter the bears:
I have always been creative and have proved myself on several fields of art.
But there is one thing that lasted - The passion for bears..
I started to produce the bears in 2006.
First I manufactured the bears after foreign cuts for myself and my friends only. Soon, I realized it doesn’t suffice, so I started to develop my own cut.
That is the origin of the SimaBears.
I put lots of emphasis on:
I use very high quality materials only sschulte mohair, alpaka and noble plush for instance.
I stuff my bears with filter cotton, well sheep’s wool and mineral granules respectively steel granules.
Very significant for me is the particular expression of the bear.
He is supposed to have a certain charisma – not just being a bear.
I always design the facials very endearing.
I stitch the bears in 15 – 40 cm size. My bears are exclusively sewn by hand. Often, I am requested to manufacture a bear the exact same way again:
My response to this is, it is not possible.
All my bears are unique items.
